    • You need to provide more details what you are trying to achieve. “Add 4 gb image” could mean anything…

  1. I don´t see anything about compatibility with Secure Boot. I have tried v. 1.8 and found it´s not compatible, which is inconvenient.

  2. Debian install consist of three separate ISOs.: debian-9.0.0-amd64-DVD-1, debian-9.0.0-amd64-DVD-2, debian-9.0.0-amd64-DVD-3. About 10GB total. Can your program (and if so, How can I) put all three on one bootable USB. This is so I do not have to burn 3 DVDs? Thanks

    • Maybe put the first one, copy manually the other 2 on the USB disk and mount them manually during the install process when needed.

  3. Hi,
I am trying to build a USB driving offering win10, win7 and winxp installation. Here is the problem, it could not recognize my winxp iso file. What am i suppose to do ?

  4. Hi, would it be possible to copy contents from one bootable usb (created by WinSetupFromUSB) to another? (e.g. files from FAT32 usb to FAT32 usb)

Also, can the usb be used for other purposes? Planning to put some other installers in it (e.g. putting MS Office installer in the bootable disk)

    Thanks!

    • If disks are exactly the same- yes, but has to be sector by sector copy, not file copy. Won’t save much time compared to just redoing it with the program.

And surely you can use the disk to place other files on it, there is no any restriction.

        • When you do sector by sector copy, destination disk contents are wiped out and replaced with those from the source disk. So file system on destination disk will end up the same as on source disk.

What’s the point of this exercise? If you are planning to multiply one disk onto many similar ones, you can create image copy of the source, save it on the computer and then apply it to the other SAME disks. The included RMPrepUSB can do the for you.

  5. I am interested in using winsetupfromusb to create a multi boot USB utilizing only UEFI. I know that the Windows distributions support UEFI, but the Linux distrubutions are still using GRUB4DOS which does not support UEFI. Itaushanov had mentioned in a previous post that he could explain how to manually add Linux distributions that would boot using UEFI. I believe that I first have to add all the windows distributions and then I can add Linux based ones. Can I manually add several Linux distros? Would anyone be able to explain how to do this, or point me to a source? If I am able to do this correctly will all boot options appear in the same menu? Thank you for your help.

    • A few facts first:
      1) grub4dos has a neat feature which allows booting just about any linux ISO without any modifications, by mapping ISO contents as a partition entry.
      2) grub4dos does not and will never support UEFI, simply because it relies on and was written for BIOS calls
      3) grub2 supports UEFI, but does not (yet) have that neat feature, allowing to boot just about any Linux isohybrid ISO. Hence to add new distro, manual work is involved and is specific to the distro being added. This makes automatic addition VERY hard, and requires regular changes as soon as the distro in question changes a kernel boot parameter which allows ISO boot for example.
      4) Winsetupfromusb uses grub4dos for BIOS mode and Windows boot stuff for UEFI mode. The latter limits UEFI boot to Windows sources only. If one requires UEFI to boot Linux sources, then he needs to manually add grub2 as UEFI boot option and add the source in a manner, so it’s bootable, which would also require adding the correct grub2 menu entries where mileage vary a lot.

Sorry, I can’t help with guides or anything, it’s simple question you asked and want to achieve, but answer is not that simple.

What I can suggest you, is to start a new thread in reboot.pro forum and describe exactly what you need to achieve. There are a lot of experts which can help you with ideas and advices.

      • Thank you very much for your detailed reply. I will check out reboot.pro and see what I can figure out! Thanks again.

  6. Here is Mauricio again, good afternoon to all mainly to itaushanov. The Lord previously asked me the logs follow the link of my account in 4shared.

Anything u need just let me know!

      • Have you been testing in QEMU? Test on real hardware please.

I see nothing wrong in the logs, apart from that drive was formatted a few times between the sources. Was that on purpose?

        • What i can tell is i tested on real hardware already and went thaht error could not mount virtual disk
and i uploaded all the log files and i can sure you that when i puted all the windows isos i dont fomatted anytime. Anyway thank a lot for the quality support and i will keep trying i really need of these operational systems in a pen drive or hdd!

  7. Sir I Really like and also love this software, i have a shop to maintaining & repair systems since 13 years ago, but now a days i have faces a problem in daily work, when i plugged a USB that make on winsetupfromusb in HP Compaq DC 7800 , DC 7900 DC 8000 system after showing splash screen black screen appear and not proceeded to boot from usb, and when i use the other utility to make usb bootable then work fine, but i prefer to this software to make multi boot cause on this software win xp work very smoothly and fine… kindly help me on this regard,

    • You have number of format options- auto format which uses fbinst internally, BootIce and RMPREPUSB, with their own number of format options. Need to find out yourself which format option works on these machines. There is no such universal option which works on every machine in the world 🙂

  8. The downloads don’t seem to work for me – says cannot extract – however i downloaded it from another website filehorse and it worked fine.
weird. I have 7 zip installed.
