  2. hello iam islam i have a problem , when i use winsetupfromusb it does not boot . but when i use rufus it boots normally . my pc is hp compaq 6000 pro thanks

    • Have you tried formatting it with RMPrepUSB? Have you tried with BootIce?
Program provides numerous ways of formatting USB drive, the auto-format option is only one of the many.

What does “does not boot” mean? Does it boot from USB at all? Are there any messages on the screen?

Do you boot in BIOS or UEFI mode? If UEFI, is drive formatted in FAT32?

  3. I can use only a whole hard disk?
I need to install a ISO in a only single partition (UEFI), and leave others to system instalation.
Theres a way to do it?

  4. Hello All, Need some help. I got a Seagate Backup Plus 5TB Portable External Hard Drive, USB 3.0
I am having trouble getting it to work on WinSetupFromUSB1.8, when I plug it in the USB, it keep say, No USB Disks or not properly partitioned ReFormat with tools below. I am running Windows 10, I am able to see it when I click on My Computer, and I’m able to copy large files to it. I format the drive for NTFS, and even FAT32, and still no go.
    Any one facing this issue?
    Thanks

    • This has already been covered recently in the FAQ and/or previous discussion!
The message means you don’t have a USB “thumb” drive. For a USB HDD drive (such as your Seagate Backup Plus)
      1) Click “Advanced Options” (to the right of the “Donate” button at the bottom of the window). This will open another window to the left of the main window.
      2) Click “Display disk drives on all interfaces, not only USB”. [Yes, we know that your Seagate is a USB drive, but Windoze doesn’t.]
      3) Select your Seagate Backup Plus drive from the drop-down menu in the main window. Be VERY careful that you don’t select the wrong drive, as WINSETUPFROMUSB will reformat and use whichever drive you select.

      • Just wanted to say, Thank you for your help. It works, now I am able to put Windows 10, and Windows 8, and Windows 7.
Thanks you for your help. Happy Holley, and have a great new year.

  5. Hi,
am using USB3 AND USB2.0 PENDRIVE, It is working fine in DDR3 motherboards superbly and few DDR2 motherboard. I have installed more than 10 times windows 10, win 8.1,8,7 x64 x86 bit etc,,, But

when I try intel 945 chipset, Gigabyte 945 chipset., AMD DDR2 motherboards
i am receiving a error as usb time out and after 20 seconds motherboard is turned off automatically.
    Kindly fix this issue.

    • Kindly inject whichever USB/chipset driver is required in your source, or check if there is any related USB setting in BIOS/UEFI. This has nothing to do with the program. It’s windows which can’t see the USB drive at this stage…

  6. How do you modify the iso to eliminate boot.wim in the same folder and save some space on the pendrive please? Thanks

    • Open the ISO in question on the USB drive, in WINSETUP/ folder. Remove ONLY /sources/boot.wim. Save the new ISO overwriting the old one. Job done.
